Current Projects
The Ambrosiana Foundation is dedicated to working closely with the Ambrosiana in Milan to provide increased access to their breathtaking collection though traveling exhibitions, public lectures, research fellowships, international symposia, and fundraising events. Our upcoming projects include:
Public Lectures and Events
In September 2008, members of the Ambrosiana Foundation will be invited to join us for a private tour of the exhibition, "Albrecht Durer: Art in Transition" at the Museum of Biblical Art in New York City. Dr. Paul Tabor, MoBiA's chief curator, will lead a tour through this exhibition of the German Renaissance artist's prints. A wine and cheese reception will follow.

Traveling Exhibitions
The Foundation is currently developing several exhibitions designed to bring the best of the Ambrosiana's paintings, drawings, and manuscripts to U.S. audiences. Scaled for small to midsized institutions, these exhibitions will travel to university galleries, local museums, and public libraries across the country.
If you are a museum professional and would like to find out more about exhibitions and potential projects, contact us here.
Scholarships and Travel Stipends
The Foundation is pleased to announce the Ambrosiana Foundation Travel Fellowship, providing support for research in the collections of the Ambrosiana in Milan, and the Ambrosiana Foundation Fellowships at the Medieval Institute of the University of Notre Dame. Intended for scholars at the graduate and post-graduate level, these fellowship funds will help defray expenses associated with research on the Ambrosiana’s vast holdings.
